Dear partner

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about the measures taken at our institution, following the recent pandemic COVID-19’s development. Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, decided to implement several measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. These actions can be found here:

All physical classes have been suspended and all the academic activities are now being implemented using online tools. Academic activities will follow using this methodology until April 9^th. After that the situation will be reassessed.

We are aware that many incoming students are willing to return to their countries and to their home universities. Students deciding to leave are recommended to contact their home universities to discuss how to continue the academic path with minimal disturbance.

All incoming and outgoing mobilities that have not yet started are postponed.

We are also contacting all our outgoing students to monitor their current situation.

We advise everyone to follow the recommendations released by the national Health Services, namely:

• Be watchful to the occurrence of fever, coughing or difficulty breathing;
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth;
• Avoid crowded places;
• Avoid physical contact;
• Frequently clean contact surfaces and equipment;
• Frequently wash hands with water and soap for at least 20 seconds

In case of symptoms (fever, coughing or breathing problems), students in Lisbon must contact the National Health Services: 808 24 24 24 (press 9 for English).
