Dear Partners,

I would like to inform that so far there are 3 cases of COVID in Lithuania (none in KSU or in Vilnius.)

However, on 26 February LT Government has declared a state emergency as a preventative measure against the spread of the coronavirus, and yesterday has decided to close all educational institutions for 2 weeks (with the remote learning possibility). However, Vilnius Municipality decided to close all educational institutions in Vilnius for 5 weeks, therefore, KSU switched to remote work and studies from 13 March to 17 April. Educational process will not stop – lectures will be given in a distance using e-learning tools. All KSU students including Exchange students have the possibility to continue their studies without break.

However, IN and OUT staff mobility is forbidden in the period of quarantine, therefore, all planned staff visits are cancelled. I would greatly appreciate, if you contact your staff who had plans to visit KSU in this period in order to document the cancellation (or re-scheduling). I will inform them in person today as well. We will do our best to re-schedule these visits.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Kristina Šlekienė
