The Finnish Government, in cooperation with the President of the Republic, has declared a state of emergency in Finland over coronavirus outbreak (https://www.lapinamk.fi/news/Government,-in-cooperation-with-the-President-of-the-Republic,-declares-a-state-of-emergency-in-Finland-over-coronavirus-outbreak/ldqhnbnw/8c7f31df-1a12-4a80-b559-c63c6f5a5e42).

Due to the declared state of emergency in Finland, following the instructions of authorities, Lapland University of Applied Sciences has decided to close the campuses during 18.3. – 13.4.2020.  All courses will be delivered online and other support services will be available through remote accesses. After 13.4.2020 we cannot guarantee that all the courses will be continued to be offered online. We will keep students updated.

As mentioned, all of our staff will continue to work, which also means that we will continue to support all of our exchange students. The exchange students have been advised to follow the instructions from their home university and they can return back home. We will offer all the needed documentation for them.

We have instructed all of our students abroad to come back home. Also, all incoming and outgoing travels have been suspended.

However, the application process for the autumn semester 2020 and for the academic year 2020-2021 will continue normally and we are hoping a lot of nominations from you. Also the current exchange students are more than welcome to apply again.
