Comunicat 09-06-2020

Dear partner,

In these challenging times I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who have been and still are informing us regularly about the situation regarding COVID-19 epidemic at your universities. A special thanks for all the given support and help goes to the colleagues at the universities that hosted our students during this period. Also, I would like to thank and warmly welcome all the students that have chosen the University of Zadar as their host university in the academic year 2020/2021.

Just like all the other universities in Croatia, and in light of the situation caused by COVID-19 epidemic, all the activities at the University of Zadar were moved online from 13 March 2020. Although some of the activities were resumed recently and taking into account the students’ safety and health, it has been decided to continue the online lectures and examinations until the end of the summer semester 2019/2020. All the updates on regulations and measures taken at the University of Zadar regarding the COVID-19 epidemic can be found on our website.

According to the currently available information, the face-to-face teaching activities will be resumed with the beginning of the academic year 2020/2021, i.e. starting from the 1 October 2020.

However, due to the uncertainty of the future global situation and the fact that the beginning of the next academic year is 4 months away, hereby we would like to underline the possibility of some changes that might occur in the modality of teaching and conducting classes.

Therefore, we would like to remind all the students nominated for the Erasmus+ mobility at the University of Zadar in the next academic year, to inform themselves regularly on the updated measures and regulations at our website and at the official government website for accurate and verified information on the COVID-19 which you can find here. Furthermore, we recommend that our incoming students observe the entry and exit regulations of Croatia and of their home country in order to make an appropriate and timely decision regarding their mobility period at the University of Zadar. The FAQs regarding the entry in Croatia can be found here and the International Relations Office of the University of Zadar will inform all the nominated students about the health and safety measures that will be implemented at the University of Zadar.

As we have emphasized in our nomination and admission procedure e-mail, we will be flexible in terms of nomination and application deadlines and in case of any changes we will inform you and your students promptly.

We thank you very much for your cooperation, we wish you all the best and we are looking forward to welcoming your students in October 2020.

Kind regards,

Rafaela Segarić
