Comunicat de la KdG University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Dear partner,

Given the further spread of the Coronavirus in Europe and Belgium, we want to inform you about current measures in place at KdG.

Up till today (March 10th):
  • no cases of infection have been reported on our campuses;
  • all local KdG activities continue as planned; both academic and social life at KdG continues as usual, in consideration of specific health and safety instructions;
  • students and staff at our campuses (both local and international) are being informed regularly through our intranet.

  • international mobility from KdG to specific high-risk regions is impacted (i.e. China, Iran, South Korea and certain Italian regions: Emilia Romagna, Lombardia, Piemonte, Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Lazio/Rome, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Valle d'Aosta, Liguria and Marche (Pesaro-Urbino);
  • we follow up on our students in these regions case by case, in close collaboration with their host organisations;
  • we advise against incoming mobility from the regions mentioned above.

There is no ongoing epidemic in Belgium. However, in preparation for a possible Coronavirus outbreak in the Antwerp region, KdG’s prevention team has worked out several scenarios. Our crisis management team monitors the situation daily and closely follows government guidelines.

Any concerns from you, your staff or your students currently at KdG can be addressed to our International Office or your specific contact at KdG

Please do not hesitate to contact us.

With kind regards,
Sofie Schoonbaert
