Comunicats de la University of Graz

Comunicat 04-06-2020

Dear Partner,

we hope that this message finds you safe and healthy during these times. Many of our partners and prospective students have been contacting us over the last few weeks for information on the upcoming fall semester.

Outbound Mobility from Graz to our Partner Universities will take place as usual as long as Partner Universities have not cancelled the upcoming semester.

Inbound Mobility: From the current point of view fall semester at Graz University will take place as usual and face-to-face teaching will be provided. In case of a potential second wave during the fall semester in Austria, Graz University is prepared to switch to online teaching.

A second and final extension for nominations in fall semester will be 15.06.2020.

Our International Office is currently setting up a website providing inbound students with information regarding the preparation of their stay specifically in light of the current COVID19 related situation.

Detailed information will be provided on our website https://international.uni-graz.at/en/ by July.

When booking tickets or housing, we encourage students to select flexible/refundable options based on up to date information on travel restrictions and availability of Austrian embassies (non-EU/EEA nationals), as the situation may change rapidly.

In the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us for any further questions.

Kind regards,

Georg Göschl

Comunicat (10-03-2020)

Dear Partner,
Given the evolving situation regarding COVID-19, we would like to inform you on the situation at the University of Graz. The Austrian Government has taken some measures to limit the spread COVID-19. One of them is the temporary suspension of teaching activities at Austrian universities, therefore all in-class teaching at the University of Graz are suspended from tomorrow 11.03.2020 until 04.04.2020 followed by the Easter Break (till 17.04.2020).
We would like to emphasize that at this time no members of the University of Graz community have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Even so, please know that we are taking the situation most seriously and always have our students’ and staff’s health and safety in mind.

In the meantime Graz University is offering online courses or alternative dates and/or blocked courses after the mentioned period of suspension.

The International Office and other service units remain open. We will keep your exchange students up-dated on the unfolding developments (including university, state and local policies, procedures, and best practices) via the university website. All information about further development can be found on our university website https://news.uni-graz.at/en/detail/article/liveticker-coronavirus/

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we would like to thank you for your continued support.
Wishing you very good health and hoping that we all remain healthy and well during this challenging period.

Best regards
Team of the Office of International Relations
University of Graz
