El Grup de Xarxes es dedica a l'estudi i l'optimització de xarxes d'ordinadors, tant interconnectades mitjançant cable/fibra òptica com sense fil. Anàlisi d'estabilitat, encaminament i fairness són alguns dels temes considerats. La seva investigació també ha abordat diversos temes relacionats amb les xarxes complexes, especialment els relacionats amb la seva congestió. Darrerament el grup centra els seus esforços en el desenvolupament de diferents aspectes de la computació quàntica, en particular els relacionats amb la comunicació. El grup manté una relació intensa amb diverses universitats i centres de recerca, tant nacionals com internacionals.
