José V. Abellán-Nebot es Doctor Ingeniero Industrial por la Universitat Jaume I y Profesor Contratado Doctor del Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas Industriales y Diseño.
Miembro del Área de Ingeniería de los Procesos de Fabricación desde 2004, sus tareas investigadoras se han centrado en sistemas de fabricación inteligentes (especialmente en mecanizado) y en el estudio y mejora de sistemas de fabricación multi-etapa a través del análisis de la propagación de errores (modelos de flujos de variación, o Stream of Variation).
Durante su formación pre y postdoctoral, ha realizado estancias en centros de investigación de reconocido prestigio como el Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (2005), la Universidad de Michigan (2007), la Universidad de Arizona (2009 y 2012) y el Instituto de Tecnología de Georgia (2014).
A nivel docente, imparte asignaturas como Tecnologías de Fabricación, Fabricación Asistida por Ordenador, Prototipado Rápido y Tecnologías del Plástico.
