The UJI Sports Service is the first to be issued the AENOR certificate in a Spanish University

The Universitat Jaume I Library has been issued the Aenor Certificate and was incorporated into its Company Register on 18 May 2004. This shows the quality management system of the Library conforms to the requirements of standard UNE-EN ISO 9001:2000.
The Universitat Jaume I has thus become one of the first Spanish public universities to obtain the library certificate with ISO standard 9001:2000. It is also the first Spanish public library certified by AENOR.
The Vice-Rectorate for Economic Affairs and University Planning, the Vice-Rectorate for Educational Quality and European Harmonisation and the Vice-Rectorate for Scientific and Technological Promotion have promoted this initiative, which shows the commitment of the UJI library to improving its services by implementing a quality management system.
This system includes the main processes that affect the students, teaching and academic staff at the Universitat Jaume I library. Specifically, the certificate includes services such as acquisitions, archive, on-site and on-line consultation and document loan in all the library departments (Archive, European Documentation Centre, Newspaper Library, etc.)
The quality management processes at the UJI are aimed at constantly improving user satisfaction with the services rendered, together with supplier satisfaction and the satisfaction of those who render the service with and for the system. The whole process then achieves the general aim of continuously improving the services offered by the Universitat Jaume I.
