Directed to: University graduates interested in the use of the English language in business contexts.
Cost: In accordance with official fees yet to be announced. 2010 cost: 30,32 €/credit.
Description: The aim of the course is to achieve the students to be able to communicate in the environments of the foreign trade in the English language and make them capable of developing different tasks in such a language:
- Create commercial documents in English in a satisfactory way.
- Present products and services in English.
- Fulfil commercial negotiations in English.
- Carry out commercial transactions both from the purchaser as from the stallholder point of view.
- Widen the knowledge related to marketing and products promotion.
- Moderate and take part in business meetings using English as vehicle of communication.
- Develop different types of activities by means of telephonic communications.
- Introduce linguistic and communicative resources which make easier the purchase of products and services.
- Develop complaints both speaking and written.
- Carry out different kinds of formal claims speaking and written.
- Use new technologies of communication.
- Study the different communicative resources needed to organize visits to other countries, informal meetings and leisure situations.
- Analyze intercultural aspects that can be part of the trade exchange
- Develop simulated activities of promotion, purchase and sales of products and services.
- Know the parameters of the company and its marketing chances.
- Develop communicative and sales techniques.
