Below we offer a complete list of temporary and permanent residences in http://www.uji.es/infoest/monuji/residen.html
Domus María Residence is an old convent in the centre of town. There are single and double bedrooms with a sink, and the bathroom is shared. It has a dining room and laundry. It has a familiar atmosphere for a reasonable price. Approximate price for full board is 450 € a month in a single room
INFOCAMPUS at Universitat Jaume I offer information about flats or rooms to let, flat-sharing and residences through the Accommodation Directory (Borsa d'Allotjament). This service is a data base responsible for gathering all the addresses of flats available to students. Such information is freely available to any student who may require accommodation while studying at UJI. Under no circumstances, however, do they act as accommodation or estate agencies.
If you decide to rent a flat, there are three possibilities open to you:
We recommend you look for a flat once you are in Castelló. Meanwhile, you can find temporary accommodation in a residence or boarding house.
Prices of shared flats are usually around 150 € per person per month. The average price of a three-bedroom flat is about 500 €/month. This does not include the price of electricity and water, which comes to be about 50 € per person per month.
The owners usually ask for a month's rent in advance plus another month as a deposit, which they will return when the leasing agreement ends, provided that the flat is left in good condition. If any serious damage has been done, or if you leave the flat a long time before the agreement ends, the owner will be entitled to keep all the deposit.
Flats usually have kitchen utensils and blankets. We recommend you bring sheets in case the flat does not provide them.
Further information can be found in the Accommodation Directory (Bolsa de Vivienda / Borsa d'Allotjament ) at INFOCAMPUS or contact us via email at: habitatge@uji.es
We also know of one web site to exchange and look for flats:
Ragooh, http://www.ragooh.com/ Find your best flat!
It arranges accommodation in families for exchange students during their stay. Living with a Spanish family is a unique cultural experience. We have found several families willing to host a student during a semester. It is absolutely necessary to contact OCIE, incoming@uji.es well before the arrival of the student so that a good match of family and student is done. The price of accommodation and half-board is 430 Euros per month, approx.

We recommend to stay in a pension, in a hotel or in the Residence Domus Mariae during the first days while searching for a flat to share or rent. The student must contact the residence or hotel directly and book a room as soon as he knows the date of the arrival in Castelló. We recommend booking as soon as possible. In the following links are information on the prices of hotels and pensions available.
