The Library has a laptop loan service which it offers to the Universitat Jaume I’s students, teaching staff, and administration and services staff.

The Library has a laptop loan service which it offers to the Universitat Jaume I’s students, teaching staff, and administration and services staff.

Terms of use
- To request the loan of a laptop, the user has to read, fill in and sign an application form that is available at the loan desk in the Library. Once this form is ready and signed, the user has to hand it in with his or her Universitat Jaume I card as a deposit.
- The laptop loan service is for personal use and academic purposes only.
- Users who have a loan sanction cannot use these computers.
- Laptops have to be borrowed from and returned to the Library loan desk.
- Laptops can be borrowed for up to three hours. After this period of time, you may renew your loan if there are other laptops available. In any case, please bear in mind that laptops must always be returned at least one hour before the Library closes.
- All laptops are loaned in perfect working condition. Should users notice any malfunction in these laptops, they simply have to report it to Library staff and fill in the corresponding incidence form.
Sanctions
The following sanctions will apply in the circumstances detailed below:
A. The laptop is returned late or its software has been modified. Sanction: the user cannot loan a laptop during a 10-day period. If the user acts in the same way again, the sanction is extended to one month. If these circumstances occur a third time, the user is suspended from this service for one academic year.
B. The laptop is returned with defects after it has been used. Sanction: the user is suspended from this service for one academic year.
C. The user does not return the laptop or the laptop has serious defects after it has been used. Sanction: the laptop is to be replaced with another one with similar features.
