The Media Centre
The Media Centre’s terms of use
The Media Centre organises and makes audiovisual materials and other multimedia contents available to the public.
The Media Centre has grown and progressed from old archives containing films and sound to a wide range of varying formats and supports (dictionaries, electronic encyclopaedias, databases, statistical resources, etc.)
What material can the Media Centre offer?
- Audio
- Video
- Computer science applications (office automation software, etc.)
- Text, hypertext, graphs
- Interactions with computer science systems
- Work software
The user interface via a web navigator makes access easy, simple and pleasant.
In this sense, the UJI Library’s Media Centre has implemented a system with 150 computers which are controlled by a server administrator service. This system allows users to use software and to access to Internet information resources and other tools that are suitable for their needs.
Scanners, an internal CD-ROM network, DVD players, plotters, etc., are some elements which help make the Library users’ work easier.
The Media Centre shares a heterogeneity characteristic with a virtual setting as to the type of media, equipment and software available. The main objective of this new service is to provide and facilitate access to electronic information.
