Access to the bibliographic and
document information resources of the Universitat Jaume I |
The users’ training programme we
present here aims to facilitate teachers,
students and administrative and service staff access to scientific and
technical information sources subscribed or acquired by the University
in any
format. In addition, the programme also includes the training related
with
consultation of documents generated by the University itself, which is
in the
University Archive, and European Union documents.
The complexity of access to information and the
needs of teachers, students
and administrative and service staff who have to use this quality
information
justify the implementation of a programme which is adequate to show how
to use
the tools the University has in order to be able to find and access
information.
Various activities have been designed which
aimed at developing users’
skills so that they can find and access documents by themselves.
Sessions are
organised at different levels, depending on the participants’
needs, and they
are flexible enough to allow interested people to participate in them,
according to their specific needs in the field.
This training programme is within the framework
of the strategic planning
objectives of the Library.
