European Documentation Centre (EDC) guide
The European Documentation Centre (EDC) at the Universitat Jaume I is
part of the European Union (EU) information centres. Its role is to
offer both university members and the society at large easy and quick
access to European Community documents.
The EDC receives documents and official publications from the EU in
various formats, provides users with information on community laws, UE
policies, competitions, programmes and calls.
Bibliographic and documentary materials can be consulted on site, and
requests by e-mail or telephone are also accepted.

documentary materials can be freely accessed.
- Official publications of the EU: monographs and
periodicals. The
Official Journal of the European Communities is included here.
- Documents: COM, documents of the sessions of the European
Parliament,
opinions and reports from the Economic and Social Committee and the
Committee of the Regions...
- Case-law from the Court of Justice of the European
Communities
o Reference works: catalogues, bibliographic bulletins, directories,
glossaries...
- Statistics produced by Eurostat o Monographs and
specialised
periodical publications acquired by the EDC to complete its collection
- Informative material: free brochures and monographs issued
by the EU,
maps, videos...
The EDC has access to all
EU databases.
