Bibliographic
Acquisitions Section
Status of requests
A library bibliographic database to electronically facilitate
information about the books and multimedia material requested.
The Bibliographic Acquisitions Section is in charge of acquiring all
the bibliographic material and documents (books, journals, microfiches,
microfilms, videos, cassettes, diskettes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.)
requested by the university community.
All teaching and research
staff and administration and services staff,
and UJI students may use this service.
As from January 1999, all
bibliographic requests (in accordance with
the Library Mandate number 14, dated 10 December 1998, and approved by
the Governing Board on 21 December 1998) shall be made online by
completing these
forms
designed by the Acquisitions Section.
To help
make the request process quicker, users are advised to fill in as many
fields of this form as possible, especially those corresponding to
document details. Incomplete data in these fields could delay the
arrival of material, so completing all the fields in this form is
highly recommended.
Links with web sites related to editing are facilitated, which compile
publishers’
pages.
The maximum time estimated to receive bibliographic material is:
- Spanish material: 40 days
- Foreign material: 55 days
The Acquisitions Section
has designed a bibliographic database to
electronically facilitate information about the books and multimedia
material requested.
The services that this new resource offers are:
- To view detailed information about the requests processed
by
the Acquisition Section
- To consult the acquisition status
- To issue lists
according to the search criteria
- Information about expenditures
Budget-related information
will be facilitated by the Management Units or the Financial Management
Service, depending on the administrative unit that makes the request.
